Marlis grew up in Evergreen, Colorado. She received her B.A. in History from Occidental College in Los Angeles and her J.D. with Highest Honors from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco. She is thrilled to have been able to return several years ago to her roots in Colorado.
She has been practicing law since 1986 and has devoted her career primarily to real estate, construction, and business issues, helping clients resolve disputes and providing them with advice on transactional issues. She enjoys helping her clients find a solution that best fits their needs and works hard to help her clients navigate the legal process with a minimum of angst and interference in their lives.
In addition to building her career and spending time with her family, Marlis has spent countless hours giving back to her community. Most recently, she has been a member of the Rotary Club of Conifer for which she served as president during the 2020-2021 Rotary year. She also works on the Rotary Wildfire Ready project that helps people protect themselves and their property from wildfire. In her spare time, Marlis enjoys reading, gardening, and hiking.
