Jim Nabholz

Contract Family Law Attorney

W. James (“Jim”) Nabholz, III is an experienced contract family law attorney at Flatiron Legal Advisors, PLLC, and is licensed to practice in Texas, Missouri and Illinois.

A native of Missouri, Jim earned his law degree, with honors, from St. Louis University School of Law in 1987. On an interesting note: Jim worked his way through college and law school as a chef at an Italian restaurant in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri.

After law school, Jim went to work for a large law firm in St. Louis, Missouri, where he began his career as an in-court advocate for his clients as a member of the firm’s litigation team. Jim also follow-up a “family tradition” and joined the United States Army Reserves as a Judge Advocate General officer, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Jim eventually found his way to Texas in 2000, when he took a position as General Counsel for several of the corporate entities at USAA, the financial services giant for the U.S. military in San Antonio, Texas. Jim eventually moved to the Ausin, Texas area and opened his private practice, focusing on family law and providing legal assistance to underserved communities. Throughout his legal career, Jim has earned accolades from clients for the ability to communicate “in plain English,” allowing clients to easily understand and discuss complex legal and procedural issues.

That tradition continues in his role at Flatiron Legal Advisors, where Jim continues to provide first-class legal services to family law clients with a no-nonsense, plain English style which allows his clients to navigate through family law issues and cases with a clear and complete understanding of what is happening in their cases. In his spare time, Jim likes to read up on current events, study wine and spend time in the kitchen.
